BMW E36 duplex chain drive set for M42 engines after sept. '93

Offered is an extremely high quality duplex chain drive kit to improve and strengthen the chain drive of an m42 engine from September 1993.
The components meet the highest quality standards and thus achieve new standards in every respect.

Scope of delivery:
- 2x duplex camshaft sprocket incl. 2 sensor pins and mounting screws.
- 1x crankshaft sprocket
- 1x duplex timing chain set incl. connecting link with spring steel clasp
- 1x adapter bolt incl. circlip to use the M44 tensioning bar
- 1x timing case stiffener for the slide rail incl. screws

Sprockets:
The sprockets, milled from the solid, achieve the highest quality standards through machining on state-of-the-art machining centers.
The selected base material in conjunction with a suitable quenching and tempering process, an excellent combination of tough core and hard and wear-resistant surface is achieved.

Timing chain:
The duplex timing chain set with connecting link used is the proven counterpart to the simplex variant that has been in use for years.
It is an open, heat-treated and pre-stretched timing chain with seamless chain sleeves (usually timing chain sleeves have a separation point). These chains are made exclusively of case-hardened and quenched and tempered steels. The requirements of the relevant standard are significantly exceeded in terms of fatigue strength as well as breaking load.

Adapter pins:
Included in the set is of course the proven and widely sold adapter bolt so that one can use the still available tensioning bar (11311743262) of the M44 engines without further modifications.

Timing case stiffener:
The entire chain drive is only as strong as the weakest link in the chain. Therefore, of course, the tried and tested timing case stiffener for the area of the small slide rail after the crankshaft sprocket must not be missing.

Notice:
This set does not include slide rails. These are almost all still available new from BMW. Except for the slide rail of a M44 engine (11311743262), all other rails can be used unchanged and suitable for the basic engine.
