Unique South African Guitar of high quality made by Mervyn Davis

The solid guitar was imported directly from South Africa. Such guitars, built with solid African woods, only sound better with age - just like a Stradivarius gets better with time. It looks fantastic and sounds incredibly full and very present. The scale length of the guitar is 630 mm and the nut width is 48 mm. The neck has a D profile.

Its design is similar to a classical guitar because it is also strung with nylon strings, but the body of the guitar only begins after the 19th fret. On a classical guitar, this happens after the 12th fret. This makes the Mervyn Davis guitar very easy to play, even in the highest registers.

The construction is a mix of classical guitar and a banjo. Mervyn Davis guitars are very innovative and perfectly crafted instruments. Mervyn Davis is an experienced professional luthier from South Africa who has become known here for his Smoothtalker instruments. Davis has been building unique and experimental instruments in South Africa since 1978.

I don't get along well with the neck profile, so I don't play it very often and it's a shame.

The condition of the guitar is perfect. After playing, it was immediately put back in the suitcase with the hygrometer. The case, perfectly built for the guitar, is part of the sale.

The guitar is freshly strung with new premium strings from Pyramid - medium strength.
