Hallberg-Rassy is a brand signifying sturdily constructed, well-crafted, and seaworthy cruising yachts. These properties are perfectly represented by the Hallberg-Rassy 26. It is sailing fast and securely and offers an astonishing amount of comfort for its size. The HR 26 is well-suited for small crews and solo sailors.
The boat was built in 1983 and is in a very good condition. All significant parts were renewed in recent years. There is no backlog in repairs on this boat! In particular, a new and stronger motor was installed in 2014 (Volvo Penta, 13 hp), a new and comfortable B&G Vulcan chart plotter was installed in the cockpit in 2017, and in 2019, all stays and shrouds were replaced.
The motor was regularly under professional maintenance. All sails (battened main sail, foresail and genoa) were checked and serviced by a sailmaker in 2019.
The teak deck was fully abraded and reworked in 2016. The windows and their frames are free of corrosion. The bow skylight has scratches, all other windows are clear and free of cracks.
The cockpit is well protected by the sprayhood, three cockpit lockers offer lots of storage space.
The cooling aggregate of the refrigerator was replaced in 2018. A gas installation including a 2-flame stove and a built-in petroleum heating system exist. Both were not used and are therefore sold as not working. (An electric stove and heater were used.)
The sea toilet and 2 sinks with hand- and foot-pump are in a very good condition. The sea toilet was renewed in 2015 and is free of odors. It is part of the front cabin (no separate bathroom) and may be separated from the saloon by a wooden folding door. A holding tank is installed.
The HR 26 has 4 berths: 2 in the front cabin and 2 in the saloon. The inside of the boat is well designed: the benches in the saloon may be turned into spacious berths by folding up the backrests. Lots of space can be found in several lockers, below the benches and behind their backrests.
Further equipment is included, such as 2 anchors, a cockpit table, cockpit tent, etc.
The HR26 is in winter storage in Flensburg.
