Flute and Piano Lessons for all levels with experienced teacher

To express oneself through music is the aim of playing an instrument. Whether this is with producing a beautiful sound, playing beautiful pieces, or developing a great technique so you can fly around the instrument, I can help you do all of them.

I teach students of all ages and abilities from absolute beginners to advanced Bachelor students. Previous students have ranged between the ages of 4 and 75! If you are wishing to learn flute and/or piano for fun you are very welcome. If you are looking to take your musical learning further, I can provide training for competitions, school exams, bronze, silver and gold exams as well as for auditions for orchestras or conservatoires. Previous students have been awarded places in conservatoires, such as the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. My students also have a 100% pass success rate for their exams, both on flute and piano.

For my flute students, I can accompany them on piano in the lessons or for their competitions or school/bronze, silver, gold exams or festival performances. I also offer either simultaneous or separate music theory lessons (to advanced level), for students that want to enhance their music learning further.

In my lessons, I aim to create a relaxed, student-centred environment, where I invite the student to be as inquisitive and creative as possible. I teach through encouragement, praise and respect for each student's talents. I have a flexible approach to my teaching, finding every individual's particular musical path, so you can achieve exactly what you want to!

About me:

I am a flute and piano teacher and orchestral flute player with over 15 years experience located in Bergmannkiez. I am a Masters graduate of the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock and Bachelor graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Although my main instrument is the flute, I have played piano for over 20 years and taught it to a high level for 13 years.

I perform regularly with the Neue Philharmonie Berlin and have performed with the Meininger Hofkapelle, Sinfonie Orchester Berlin, Mecklenburgisches Staatskapelle Schwerin, Norddeutsche Philharmonie, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

I teach private lessons on flute, piccolo, piano or music theory. I teach online, or from my apartment or I can travel to students that are not too far away.
