Rakovica ist direkt an die Autobahn 1 angeschlossen, sodass der Flughafen von Zagreb in nur 2 Stunden und das Meer bei Zengg in 1 Stunde 45 Minuten zu erreichen ist.
Die Gegend ist durch die Nähe zu den Plitvicer Seen touristisch geprägt.
