Beschreibung
The Dodge Coronet Super Bee was Dodge’s answer on the Plymouth Road Runner, launched in 1968. Based on the entry level Coronet, the Super Bee got much of the performance options installed standard, such as the heavy-duty suspension, an optional Mopar A-833 four-speed manual transmission, high-performance tires, and a stripe (with the bee logo) wrapped around the tail. The name “Super Bee” was derived from the code of the used platform, the “B” Body which the Coronet uses.
This example has been restored some years ago before coming to Europe. It has been restored to its original specs. It was repainted in the original Y2 Yellow, fitted with the factory spec Vinyl roof, Tail stripe, wheels and even the Ram Charger hood (option N96). The paint still presents very good with no rust or bondo.
The trunk and underside are as yellow as the rest of the car. Chrome on the car is in excellent condition without any pitting. The car was imported from Canada to Belgium in 2016 where it spent its time in a private collection. The car is sold with Canadian title and European import paper stating all import duties are paid. Belgian, Dutch or German registration can be arranged.
The white interior was redone during the restoration. Features include a woodgrain console with storage, a con sole shifter, and an AM radio.
A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation that includes a 150-mph speedometer, tic-tac tachometer and four auxiliary gauges The five-digit odometer shows approximately 10k miles.
Mechanically the car is also fully restored. The original 383ci Magnum has been replaced by an original 440ci Six Pack. The transmission is the 727 3 speed auto that shifts smooth and without any issues. The car has power steering and power brakes.
