Neben meiner Tätigkeit als Komponist und Musik Produzent, biete ich professionelle Workshops zum Thema Musik Produktion an. Wenn Du lernen willst, wie man einen Track von der Pike auf erstellst, oder wie Du Deinen Track noch professioneller gestaltest - Ich kann Dich durch den Prozess begleiten und Dir tiefgreifende Einblicke in die Welt der Musik Produktion und der Welt des Klanges bieten. Der Fokus liegt auf der Computer basierten Produktion im Generellen und die Arbeit mit Ableton Live, um elektronische Musik zu kreieren, im Speziellen. Du wirst von meinen über 18 Jahren in der Musik Industrie profitieren. Unter anderem habe ich als Dozent an der EMS - Electronic Music School in Berlin unterrichtet.

Wie viel Zeit benötigen wir?
Eine Session sollte 2-3 Stunden dauern. Für das Vermitteln von grundsätzlichem Wissen empfehle ich 5-10 solcher Sessions.

Was brauche ich und wie gut sollten meine Fähigkeiten sein?
Du solltest ein funktionierendes Setup für die Produktion von Musik haben. Idealerweise ein Computer mit Musik Software der bereits läuft. Meine Workshops richten sich an Anfänger die erlernen wollen wie man schnell gute Ergebnisse erzielt und an semi-professionelle, die ihren Sound verbessern möchten und neue Arbeitsweisen erlernen wollen.

Was für Themen beinhalten die Workshops?

Hier sind einige der Themen die Teil des Workshops sein können. Abhängig von Deinen Zielen werden diese von mir angepasst:
- Überblick und Aufbau einer Musik Produktions Umgebung.
- Wie man eine DAW benutzt (idealerweise Ableton Live).
- Detaillierte Einblicke in die gängigen digitalen Musikinstrumente.
- Wie man Loops und Samples nutzt.
- Digitale Sound Effekte für den kreativen Einsatz.
- Mixing und Mastering. Wie man Sounds im Raum platziert.
- Wie man Groove und Punch aus einem Track herausholt.
- Wie man einen Song arrangiert.
- Grundsätzliche Ideen für Rhythmus, Melodie und Harmonie.
- Gedanken zum „Meta-Level“ über Inspiration und Kreativität.

What do I offer?
Next to my work as a composer and music producer, I offer high class workshops for music production. If you want to learn how to create a track from scratch or how to take your tracks to the next level, I can guide you through the production process and/or offer help and in-depth insights in specific music production topics. The main focus is the computer based production of music in genres wich do not require “real” instruments and a recording studio. Hereby I use the DAW Ableton live. You will benefit from my 18+ years of experience in the industry. I’ve also been working as an official tutor at the EMS - Electronic Music School in Berlin.

How much time do we need?
One session should last 2-3 hours. For gaining basic knowledge, I would recommend at least 5-10 sessions.

What do I need and what skills should I have?
You should have a working setup for music production. Ideally a computer with some software wich is already running.
The workshops are suitable for beginners who want to start making good music right away and semi-professionals who want to improve their sound in certain ways.

What does a workshop include?

– How to use your DAW (preferably Ableton Live)
– In-depth insight of common digital musical instruments.
– How to use loops and samples.
– Digital sound effects for creative usage and sound shaping.
– Mixing and mastering. How to place music and sound in the mix and room.
– How to achieve groove and punch.
– Arrangement and layout of your song.
– Basic song writing ideas for rhythm, melody and harmony.
– Thoughts on the “meta-level“ about inspiration, cultural education and creativity.
